We don’t ask for your personal information and we don’t want it. We don’t collect Social Security numbers, dates of birth, or anything to do with your benefits application — ever, for any reason. We don’t sell data. What we do collect is ordinary website analytics and advertising cookies, and you can turn those off. Everything below is the detail.

Let’s start with the part that matters most on a site like this.
We do not collect, request, store, or process:
We do not process Lifeline applications. Applications are submitted free of charge directly to the National Verifier at nv.fcc.gov/lifeline or to a participating provider. Nothing you do on this site is an application, and no page here will ever ask you for the information one requires.
If you send us any of the above unprompted, we delete it and reply without quoting it back to you.
2. What we do collect
Information you give us voluntarily
If you contact us through the contact page or by email, we receive whatever you choose to send — typically your name, email address, and your message.
We use it to answer you, and to fix the site if you’ve reported an error. We don’t add you to a mailing list, we don’t share it, and we don’t sell it. Correspondence is kept only as long as it’s useful for handling your question and any follow-up, then deleted.
We don’t publish reader correspondence. If your experience would be useful to other readers, we’ll ask your permission first, and we’ll anonymize it.

This site links to government agencies, providers, and other external sites. Once you follow a link, you’re on their site, and their privacy policy applies, not ours. We have no control over what they collect.
We’re careful about where we send you — program facts link to .gov sources — but you should still read the privacy policy of any site that asks you for personal information, especially before entering anything on a provider’s website.

No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we can’t guarantee absolute security. That’s another reason not to send sensitive information to any website, including this one.

You have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information.
We do not sell your personal information. Some advertising cookie practices may be classed as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law; the opt-out links in section 4 and our cookie controls let you decline this. You will never be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to data portability. Our lawful bases are consent (analytics and advertising cookies) and legitimate interests (responding to your message, securing and operating the site).

Contact us at contact@freegovernmentiphones.org. We’ll respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm you’re the person the request concerns — which, given we hold almost nothing, is usually just a matter of writing from the same email address.
8. Children
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13, in line with COPPA. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we’ll update the effective date at the top. Material changes — new categories of data, a new ad network, a change in how information is used — will be flagged prominently on the site for at least 30 days.
